This week, it’s time to put Amazon seller platforms to the test once again. This time, we’re going to compare Helium 10 and AMZScout.
As usual, we’ll focus on its main features and pricing and then evaluate which one is a better choice.
Let’s get to it.
Helium 10 vs AMZScout
Helium 10
Helium10 was funded in 2015 and it currently has over 2 million users worldwide. It’s one of the most popular Amazon seller platforms out there. In fact, they have recently become part of Amazon Emerald (we’ll talk more about this later).
But it’s not only a multifaceted tool that you can use in your Amazon journey, it also has some tools that are suitable for Walmart.
Finally, Helium also has an award-winning training series and multiple webinars so you never stop learning!
AMZScout
AMZScout was established in the U.S. in 2017 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by its founder Alexander Volkov.
Since then, the company has done nothing but grow: its user count has easily surpassed 1,000,000 accounts. And it actually has big customers such as Disney, Dell and Red Bull.
AMZScout works both for Amazon and Walmart and supports multiple marketplaces from Amazon.
Key Features
Dashboard
One of the most important things when looking at new software, especially if you are a beginner, is its dashboard and its overall interface. A clean, user-friendly interface is a must at our times.
Helium 10 has a very nice-looking dashboard and you can easily find everything you want.
AMZScout, on the other hand, gives you a quick walk-through as soon as you log in to the website for the first time. However, I felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of things you see on the main page, as you can see in the picture above.
Product research
Helium 10 has three tools that are suitable for this task: their Chrome extension, Xray and Black Box.
Black Box allows users to search for Amazon products via different metrics. Its core metrics include the monthly revenue a product generates, the number of reviews a product has and the overall star rating of the product.
Xray, on the other hand, analyzes the demand and competition of an entire market on a selected results page.
We’ll talk about the Chrome extension later on.
AMZScout also provides a lot of product research features on its Chrome extension.
If you want to search right from the dashboard, you can do so too thanks to its Product Database. There are 18 filters to help you refine your criteria and preset filters to quickly make a shortlist of product ideas that have potential.
Keyword research
Helium 10 has two keyword research tools: Magnet and Cerebro.
Magnet enables you to conduct exploratory keyword research with a number of filters and data points to identify viable opportunities.
Cerebro, on the other hand, helps you conduct a competitive analysis of your competitors’ keyword targets so you can reverse engineer their work.
On the other hand, AMZScout has one main keyword research tool. With it, you can find tons of relevant keywords for your product listing and check Amazon keyword search volume to estimate demand.
They also have a Chrome extension called Amazon Keyword Tracker & Reverse Asin Lookup that shows you where your product stands when searching for a related keyword. It also helps you with listings.
This leads us to list optimizations.
Listing optimizations
Helium 10 has a Listing Analyzer that shows you what makes a good listing be good. It gives you an in-depth look at any Amazon listing’s health by entering any ASIN. It even lets you directly compare multiple ASINs simultaneously.
Plus, last April Helium 10 released an AI listing builder. This builder is available on the Diamond plan and it uses the power of ChatGPT to automatically generate your title, bullet points and product description.
AMZScout recently launched their Reverse ASIN Lookup 2.0, an updated version of the previous one. Like Cerebro, this tool helps you improve your listings by taking a look at your competitor’s keywords.
Amazon Emeralds
How you get your notifications is something extremely important. I know I have missed valuable updates because of issues with alerts.
Now all that can be easily fixed with Amazon Emerald, a new program that allows third-party services to send notifications directly to sellers on Amazon Seller. As it’s quite new, not many Amazon seller platforms have been included in this program yet.
However, Helium 10 is one of them!
AMZScout, sadly, is not on this list.
Walmart
Although we’re thinking about tools you can use as an Amazon seller, it’s always good to consider all features. In this case, both Helium 10 and AMZScout show their versatility by supporting the Walmart Marketplace as well as Amazon’s.
Although we’re not here for Walmart, you never know when your business will expand and having this tool will help you become a pro!
Collaboration tools
Helium 10 gives you one user seat on its free plan and lower premium plans. When you reach the Diamond plan, you get 5 user seats.
AMZScout doesn’t include team collaboration features on its free trial plan and overall doesn’t seem very interested in adding team members to the account.
Chrome extension
Both Helium 10 and AMZScout’s Chrome extensions offer different levels of access depending on the plan you have.
Helium 10 offers a Chrome extension with extensive looks at product search results pages directly on Amazon. This includes essential product validation data such as: monthly sales, average revenue and estimated Amazon FBA fees.
Read this post for a tutorial on using the browser extension.
With AMZScout’s extension, you can analyze product or niche profitability, check competition and find suppliers.
Languages and marketplaces supported
Helium 10 supports English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, German and Italian. This means that the dashboard is accessible to people whether they speak English or not.
Similarly, AMZScout is available in 7 languages, including Chinese, English, Russian and French.
However, there’s a point where most Amazon sellers usually can’t compete with Helium 10.
Which one?
Well, Helium 10 supports 13 marketplaces, including Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Australia and Japan!
AMZScout, though, is excellent competition. They support 10 marketplaces, from the US and Canada to Japan and India.
Resources and support
Helium 10 uploads videos frequently, with multiple videos per week. They have a Facebook community you can join to discuss industry news and learn helpful tips and selling strategies.
If you need help, you can go to their knowledge base or submit a question.
AMZSout has a solid list of learning resources, from masterclasses to courses and monthly reports. They also have a blog with cases and guides, as well as a very active YouTube channel.
They offer support via email and chat.

Verdict: Helium 10 or AMZScout?
So the question is: which one should you choose?
Well, Helium 10 is a powerful platform that’s difficult to compete with. It has the AI, the marketplaces and a clean user interface.
AMZScout is also an all-in-one Amazon seller tool, full of a lot of cool features as we’ve seen. Most of the features present in Helium 10 are also in AMZScout. Moreover, its annual plans make it much more affordable than Helium 10.
That said, I think it’s fair to say that AMZScout is the best option for people who are just getting started with Amazon. If that’s not the case, you should stick to Helium 10.
How has been your experience with these Amazon sellers?
