AlIf you’re a small business owner looking for an Amazon tool to scale your business, you’ve come to the right place!
We decided to take part in the debate about which is the best Amazon seller tool.
For that, today we’re going to review Seller Amp and Helium 10 and see their features, pros and cons.
Seller Amp vs Helium 10
Seller Amp
Founded by Al Carlton, Seller Amp SAS (Sourcing Analysis Simplified), also known simply as Seller Amp, is a British platform that helps Amazon sellers be more productive and profitable.
It evolved from the founder’s deep programming background and his own wholesale Amazon selling and is now a popular Amazon research tool.
With it, you can estimate sales volume, access to Keepa data, current offers on Amazon and more.
Helium10
Helium10 was funded in 2015 and has over 2 million users worldwide.
It is a multifaceted tool you can use at any point in your Amazon journey. Plus, some tools are also suitable for Walmart.
Its Black Box feature helps you find the best product type or niche, while features like Review Velocity show how popular an item is when considering whether to stock it.
Helium also has an award-winning training series and multiple webinars so you never stop learning!
Key features
Product research
Firstly, Helium 10 has three tools that are suitable for this task: their Chrome extension, Xray and Black Box.
Black Box allows users to search for Amazon products via different metrics. Its core metrics include the monthly revenue a product is generating, the number of reviews a product has, and the overall star rating of the product.
Xray, on the other hand, analyzes the demand and competition of an entire market on a selected results page.
Helium10 is great for finding the perfect product during your initial launch stage.
However, Seller Amp has better resources if you have existing marketing strategies. They use product intelligent tools to track product ratings, revenue and BSR score in real-time.
Keyword research
Helium 10 has two keyword research tools: Magnet and Cerebro.
Magnet enables you to conduct exploratory keyword research with a number of filters and data points to identify viable opportunities.
Cerebro, on the other hand, helps you conduct a competitive analysis of your competitors’ keyword targets so you can reverse engineer their work.
On the contrary, Seller Amp keyword research feature is not very strong and it gives you more of an immediate fix.
Listing optimization
Helium 10 has a Listing Analyzer that shows you what makes a good listing be good. It gives you an in-depth look at any Amazon listing’s health by entering any ASIN. It even lets you directly compare multiple ASINs simultaneously.
Plus, last April Helium 10 released an AI listing builder. The builder is available on the Diamond plan and it uses the power of ChatGPT to automatically generate your title, bullet points and product description.
Seller Amp also brings AI to the game. In fact, they claim there’s an 83% increase in organic traffic when people use their listing optimization tools.
That’s because they show you how discoverable your listing is and the desirability of the product you’re selling.
Other ecommerce platforms
Although Helium 10 started as an Amazon tool, it has expanded to Walmart Marketplace.
The features that work both for Amazon and Walmart are Cerebro, Magnet, Keyword Tracker and Profits.
But Seller Amp’s listing optimization works for 11 other e-commerce platforms besides Amazon!
You can even lookup a product on eBay to see current prices or recent sales prices.
Profit Calculator
Helium 10 recently launched its Profitability Calculator. This tool is part of the Chrome extension and can be used on any Amazon product page.
It gives users the ability to not only view estimated, profit-centric data but also to plug and play with their own numbers and see how it affects their bottom line.
As to Seller Amp’s profit calculator, it breaks down fees and taxes and shows you the impact of selling FBM vs FBA, besides other metrics.
VAT
VAT compliance is one of the most important topics for every e-commerce seller – Amazon or independent.
Seller Amp has a VAT Settings panel: you can override the VAT scheme, VAT rate and use VAT inclusive or exclusive prices in this panel. That way, Seller Amp will use your selected VAT Scheme in all of its calculations and analysis.
Helium 10 doesn’t seem to have a similar feature.
Other features
Helium 10 has a landing page builder called Helium Portals. This builder helps you drive external traffic from social media and paid ads more directly to your product page.
There are multiple pre-made templates to choose from according to category and design. There are thank-you pages, email opt-in pages and beautiful designs.
But, sadly, this cool feature isn’t available on Seller Amp.
Integrations
Seller Amp has three key integrations: Google Sheets, Seller Toolkit, and Arbitrage Hero. These last two help manage Amazon inventory, profit and loss, as well as sourcing.
Plus, Seller Amp has interactive charts driven directly from Keepa data which makes it easy to visualize pricing and sales history.
Helium 10 integrates with multiple apps and marketplaces including Zapier, Google Analytics, Facebook and more.
Languages and locations supported
Helium 10 supports 5 languages: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, German, and Italian.
Sadly, Seller Amp only supports English at the time.
As to both platforms’ marketplaces analysis, it’s a bit more complicated. Both Helium 10 and Seller Amp support Europe, the US, and Canada.
Although Helium 10 also includes South America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. However, not all tools are in all marketplaces. For example, Cerebro is not available in Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and other countries.
Devices
Both Seller Amp and Helium 10 offer mobile apps (iOS and Android), Chrome extensions, and web apps, so you can do your research anywhere.
Helium 10 offers a free Chrome extension with extensive looks at product search results pages directly on Amazon. This includes essential product validation data such as monthly sales, average revenue, and estimated Amazon FBA fees.
As to Seller Amp, its mobile app makes any research mega easy. It lets you share and split the screen views for fast access when on your mobile.
Free tools
Although Helium 10 has a free forever plan, they also offer free tools. You can use these tools on their dedicated landing page, yet if you sign up for a free account, you’ll receive a higher level of access and more searches each month.
The list of free tools includes the free Amazon keyword tool, Amazon Sales Estimator, and Amazon Trending products.
Seller Amp, on the other hand, doesn’t offer free tools.
Support and resources
Seller Amp offers a video series that teaches you how to use each of its tools available on the website. Plus, it has a YouTube channel that uploads videos regularly on different topics.
You can get in touch with Seller Amp support team via email.
Helium 10 uploads videos frequently, with multiple videos per week. They have a Facebook community you can join to discuss industry news and learn helpful tips and selling strategies.
If you need help, you can go to their knowledge base or submit a question.

Helium 10 has a whole set of powerful features, a free plan and even free resources.
However, Seller Amp gives you access not only to Amazon data but also eBay and other 10 ecommerce platforms!
At the end of the day, the strongest argument against Seller Amp is for those who need to research a marketplace in Asia or South America since Helium is the only one that offers these metrics.
